Montana Math Matter
Building Positive Mathematical Identities through Posing Purposeful Questions

Participants will:  Learn how to develop positive math identities within in all of our students. Engage in the effective teaching practice of posing purposeful questions to assess and advance students’ reasoning and sense making on important mathematical ideas and relationships. Review the power of questioning, question types, and determine focusing vs. funneling questions. You will leave with access math resources you can use in your classroom.

All K-12 teachers, student teachers, paraprofessionals and leaders are invited to attend.

Locations and Dates: 9am- 3:30pm

§  Glendive | March 27 (Wednesday 10am-3:00pm)
§  Drummond | April 6
§  Fort Benton | April 13

Earn 6 OPI renewal units| Lunch will be provided | FREE
