The
Awards Committee of the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Montana State
University is seeking nominees for two awards for distinguished mathematics
instruction. The awards are generously funded by Dr. William A. Stannard,
Retired Professor of Mathematics and long-time MCTM member.
One
award honors a Montana Teacher of Mathematics (any grade, K-12) who has
distinguished themselves as “having been superior not only in imparting
mathematical knowledge but in motivational academic efforts.” Please fill out
this simple
nomination form if you know of a K-12 Montana teacher who meets these
criteria.
One
award honors a Montana College Teacher of Mathematics who has distinguished
themselves as “having been superior not only in imparting mathematical
knowledge but in motivational academic efforts.” Please fill out this simple nomination
form if you know of a college teacher who meets these criteria and teaches
in Montana at any college or university (other than Montana State University in
Bozeman).
